Retail Bootcamp: Preparing for a Consignment Sale
Retail Bootcamp is a new series that will teach you step-by-step basics to saving money on Retail for yourself, home, gifts, holidays, etc...
Shopping at Consignment Sales are a huge part of my money saving budget. Especially when it comes to clothes, gear and even gifts for our three kids. I save up and shop twice a year. Most of the Consignment sales you'll find are franchises and take place once in the Spring and then again in the Fall.
By shopping at a Consignment Sale, you're not only saving yourself time (getting everything done in one place), but you'll save a tremendous amount of money, too. Today we're going to talk about Preparing for a Consignment Sale. (Click on the video for details. By the way, this video was done last Fall, so for the Spring Sales look for season appropriate clothes and shoes, swim gear, sports/outdoor equipment, etc...)

Over the next several weeks on Retail Bootcamp, we'll be talking about the in's and out's of Consignment Sales:
- Preparing for a Sale
- Selling at a Consignment Sale
- Shopping at a Sale
- Pay Day!

CHALLENGE
Go to Consignment Mommies to find a consignment sale in your area. Then go through your childrens' closets and determine what you'll need for the upcoming season. Make a shopping list by child, indicating sizes for all items. Be creative. Not only consider season appropriate clothes and shoes, but also swim gear, sports/outdoor equipment, etc...
