Retail Bootcamp: Save Money By Getting a Price Adjustment for Black Friday Prices
Retail Bootcamp is a series that will teach you step-by-step basics to saving money on Retail for yourself, home, gifts, holidays, etc...
What if the item you just bought is now available for a huge discount for Black Friday? Not a problem. Call the store and ask them if they'll honor the Black Friday price with your receipt. Most stores have a Price Adjustment policy in place. That means, if within a certain time frame, the item is less expensive, they'll give you the difference.
For some this might help if you're concerned your item will be gone on Black Friday. You could take the chance and buy it ahead of time. However, I would double check with a store manager to make sure they'll honor a Price Adjustment before you make your purchase. Some stores will pull items from their shelves before Black Friday to avoid this scenario.
Target will give Price Adjustments on Black Friday with a receipt, except for any listed "Doorbuster" items. Wal-Mart and Best Buy will not allow Price Adjustments.
Good luck! I can't wait to hear about all the great deals you were able to find!
