Retail Bootcamp: Save Time Money on Black Friday by Price Matching

Retail Bootcamp is a series that will teach you step-by-step basics to saving money on Retail for yourself, home, gifts, holidays, etc...


One of the top strategies I can impart with you for Black Friday is Price Matching.

You're not going to find all the deals you want at the same store. That means the one item you're wanting might be gone by the time you get there. However, did you know that you can Price Match that exact same item somewhere else? You can Price Match everything from Electronics, Games, Movies, Clothes, Toys, Bikes, etc....

Stores like Wal-Mart, Target and Toys R Us/Babies R Us will Price Match. That means if you take in a competitor ad for the exact same item (same quantity, packaging, etc...), they will honor that price. You can still use manufacturer coupons, store coupons, store gift cards and rebates with your purchase, too.

At Wal-Mart you can check out at a regular register. The cashier will make the Price Adjustment for you. At Target, you'll have to go to Customer Service.

This strategy will make sure you don't miss out on "limited quantities" and will also save you time and money.

CHALLENGE 

Check out our "Black Friday" button on the top right hand side of this page. Determine what store has the most deals you want for Black Friday. Then see if that store carries the other Hot items from other Retailers. Make sure to bring your fliers with you on Black Friday. Stack those prices with coupons, too.
