Hot Wheels Wall Tracks

This Fall, Mattel sent me a Hot Wheels Wall Track to ask me what I thought of their new product. Ironically, it was an item our 4 year old had been asking about. He saw it advertised in some retail fliers and was anxious to play with one.

The set up was easy. We taped the template to the wall as directed and then used 3M Adhesive Tabs to affix the connectors to the wall. Once in place, we added the track. You do need the template to assure that all six connectors are at the right angle, otherwise, the track won't flow correctly.

All three of the kids were excited to give the Wall Track a try.

You can make the car follow three different paths with this model. It's as easy as lifting or moving gates. You will have to use the Hot Wheel car that is included. It's sized and weighted specifically for this track. We tried to use others, but they were either too big to fit through the corners or not heavy enough to move at the right speed.

Also, make sure you're careful with the rubberbands that are included. There is a replacement for the spinning wheel, however, there are also bands for the lower gate. If you misplace, them, you might have to use trial and error to find others that will fit. Also, when you take the Wall Track off the wall, you will need to use new 3M Tabs to use it again, but the great thing about the 3M Tabs, is that they don't leave a mark and are easy to remove.
