Summer Bucket List - Blueberry Picking
Are you still working on your Summer Bucket List? Here's our update.
We didn't get to everything on our list this past week, but still had a blast. We saw "Chipwrecked" as part of the Dickinson Summer Movie Vacation Series and went to Music with Mar. on Tuesday. Then later in the week, we went blueberry picking with friends at the Blueberry Patch. It was super hot, even at 10 am in the morning, but we were well prepared with water, snacks and sunscreen.
The kids had so much fun. It was a great teaching moment about where food comes from. We love the Blueberry Patch. It's a family owned farm and has a lot to offer.
We came home from blueberry picking, had some quiet time and then went to a Summit Waves, which is a local water park. They have twilight hours from 4-6 pm, which is perfect for us. The kids wouldn't be able to last an entire day at the park, so we saved money by just using the twilight hour passes. The cost was also discounted for proving we lived within the city limits. I love being frugal and having fun!
What have you been up to this summer? We'd love to hear from you.
