A Turtle's Tale: Sammy's Adventure

Recently Vivendi Entertainment sent me a copy of A Turtle's Tale: Sammy's Adventure asking us to review the movie and give our honest feedback. (See our Review/Disclosure Policy.) The only compensation I received was a copy of the movie (Blu-ray Bonus pack that included a DVD and Digital version).

The story line follows the life of Sammy as a young hatchling and his journey over the next 50 years as he travels the world. It's a story of friendship, adventure and love. It shows the real dangers Sammy encounters, including man-made challenges, but also shows how man has and can help the sea turtles. As an adult watching the movie, there were probably one to many "near misses" that seemed to drag the story along, but the kids didn't notice and had a lot of fun with it. They wanted to watch it again right away. Our six year old daughter said, "It's a really fun movie."

The animation has some amazing underwater scenes. There are some great songs included, as well. The only downside for me was that I wasn't able to download the Digital Version of the movie on my Mac or iPad. It was only PC compatible. 

I did find A Turtle's Tale: Sammy's Adventure on Amazon for $13.63 (Orig $19.95). It's eligible for Free Super Saver Shipping on orders over $25. Or you can download your own digital version for $9.99. The download digital version IS compatible with Macs and PC's.
