Save Money When Moving: Freebies, Deals & Coupons
Retail Bootcamp is a series that will teach you step-by-step basics to saving money on Retail for yourself, home, gifts, holidays, etc...
I've learned a lot about saving money during our move. Over the next couple of weeks, I'll be giving you some practical and easy ways you can Save Money When Moving.
- Don't pay for Boxes. We got almost all of our boxes for Free on Craigslist (search under the "Free" section - but hurry, they go fast) or by asking friends.
- Use an End Roll instead of using newspapers or paying for packing materials. We got our end roll from our local newspaper for a fraction of the cost. It was wonderful for packing all my fragile items.
- Use Coupons & Sales for Sharpies, tape, index cards, etc... Those items can add up. I got my supplies for rock bottom or FREE.
- When you go to the Post Office for your Change of Address packet, there are several coupons from various retailers. I'd assume they vary by region. Use them to save on your Moving Expenses. I got a 10% off coupon from Best Buy.
